Life in and with nature is the message we have for our visitors. This happens with regard to indigenous people like the Red Indians of North America. Our tipi village and the huge garden are the ideal sourrounding for that. Children and grown-ups are welcome.
Ahia! Indian Week 2008
from 16.-20.June in Hundgrün we played the drums, we sang, did handycrafts and toasted our bread on the camp fire. We hired professional musicans, the Big City Indians. Kids an grow ups were enthusiastically playing the drums in their workshop.
We have got much positive resonance this year and so we will extend our program for kids and grown ups.

The renovation of the Windisch-Mill as a centre of nature and free time could be completed successfully. Now we have to implement what we had promised to our donors - to develop plans which carry  the object on to the future. Some could be carried out alredy this year.
The true challenge lies in projects which are friendly to nature and family and which are economic and of public utility as well. We had continued our search for promoters and could enlist the Stadtwerke Oelsnitz, the Postbank, Agrofarm  2000 Eiching and the city of Oelsnitz as supporting members this summer. THANK YOU!
23 September - This year's highlight of the "Mill festival" was the big open air party with the trio "de Randfichten".
Almost 700 guests celebrated with us in bright sunshine and good mood.
"Food for Life!" - Road show in Hundsgrün. In September the Windisch-Mill was all about health food. The show informed over 400 children from the region about delicious fruits, healthy vegetable and pest management. The children could relish the samples of our nature teaching garden.
In June school children from the region spent the end of the school year in the centre of nature and free time. Our herb woman was busy leading them through the garden. The children enjoyed wading through water, tasting tea and the trial diploma.
Once again, the association's family days which turned out to be very popular took place this year. Under the slogan "nature, family and free time" people did handicrafts and made small cratches.
2006
We have made it. The announcement in the newspaper was meant seriously.
At the party on 23 September 2006 we presented further attractions of the centre to the public. The comfortable hostel with the cosy mill pub, the new workshop, the modern teaching classroom and the mini golf were opened.

2005
Only in spring 2005 we could really get started after nine years of waiting. Nothing and nobody could stop us and half a year later it was ready. The first part of our vision
"environment-leisure-centre" could be presented and was celebrated with the whole village and region. Bowling alley and nature teaching garden presented themselves from their best view. Our friends, local and Czech
partners celebrated with us.
2004
It arrived – the long waited for decree for the grant of government help for the mill came at the turn of the year 2003/4 as "permission for an early start", that means with reservations, however, we could expect it.
The old draft was revised once again – amended with the new component leisure in order to guarantee the future productivity of the whole. With that there came additional support from the EU and the construction of the bridge in front of the house began......again we had to wait.
2003
Presumed dead live longer, they say. This autumn we already look back to ten years of existence of our association and we still file applications for the restoration of the Windisch mill. Maybe they think they can discourage us –
but they are mistaken!
2002
This summer brought the whole of Germany one agony after the other. The flood in August was followed by politcal embarrassment and again a stop of funds for all projects.
2001

2000
Ten years of German union were celebrated everywhere this year – and we took part in the festivities with our own stand. We celebrated our seventh birthday hoping to be able to open our centre restored within the next three years. Plan and application form have been submitted to our financers already two years ago.
1999
While we had fallen in oblivion in our own rural district, the Upper Franconians offered unselfishly their help. There we had a free-of-charge exhibition and we were able to promote our environmental protection in the Vogtland. Later also the Vogtland-Sparkasse offered its support.

"Frankenpost" Januar 1999

1998
In the fifth year there was much to be celebrated because we became the owner of the Windisch mill and could finally implement our visions. In order to promote this we made our work public in many places. Although we had been active for five years hardly anyone knew about us. This had to be changed.
1997
The Saxon Newspaper Dresden first noted our new activities.
1996
The former border strip is finally declared as protected area, the Saxons were the first to succeed in presenting the necessary concept. Meanwhile the association is looking for a new home.
1995
A year later the attention changed to partly scepticism or amazement that this "women's association" is still existing. The articles in the newspapers, however, show clearly how hard and motivatedly all members of the association work, women and men.
1994
The foundation of the association "Grünes Band Europa" e.V. caught the attention of the media and institutions because this form of independence was something new and daring.
